July Drawing Workshop

Learn Basics of drawing for sketches and finished projects. You will draw from still life compositions set up in the studio, on sight urban landscape drawing, as well as doing sketch book assignments.
Learn various line-making techniques, how to get a wide range of values in your drawings, and pen and ink techniques.
This the perfect class to help you start those vacation sketchbooks.
Dates of workshop are the following Sundays:
July 12, 19, and 26
11:00 to 2:00. Light refreshments provided.

Please bring to first class.
- Artist quality drawing pencils, I use Faber-Castell, Staedtler Mars, or Berol Turquoise. Get the following harnesses: 5H, 2H, HB, 3B, 6B
- one Graphite stick 6B
- one vinyl eraser, I like to have one in a plastic, pencil-like holder
- one kneadable eraser
- one hard cover sketch book around 5" x 7"
- one pad of good quality drawing paper, Strathmore is a good brand, 9" x 12" or close
Handy to have, but not necessary, a 6" straight edge and a small triangle.
